Network Rail have completed work to install a new footbridge at Ealing Broadway station early allowing roads to reopen.
A crane was needed to lift the new stairway into place. With that compete, the road does not need to remain shut.
The new stairway will mean no longer having to use a bridge at the London end of the platform.
It’s a rare piece of good news for station upgrades on the western Crossrail section. Delays have hit all stations let alone the project itself which no longer has a definitive start date.
