53 flats planned in Ealing town centre in office-to-residential conversion

A planning application has been submitted to convert a sizable amount of office space to 53 flats at 24-37 High Street. The developer is City Trust.

This is the parade of shops and pubs including the Drapers Arms and Wholefood Organic.

Under Permitted Development Rights no affordable housing may be needed from developers nor any financial contribution to Ealing Council to mitigate the impact. 

The exact wording on the Planning Application is:

“Change of use of part of first, second and third floor from offices (Use Class B1) to residential (Use Class C3) to accommodate 53 residential units (Class O, 56 day prior approval process) | 24-37 High Street Ealing London W5 5DB”
