There’s recently been a number of applications to convert offices and other space into residential flats, and another has been submitted in West Ealing. Plans are in for eight flats above the Ladbrokes at 43-45 Broadway.
Just over the road another plan is in, next to Costa Coffee, to convert upper floors into eight flats which I covered here.
And further along there are other plans including above shops and a William Hill bookies.
But these are mere babies compared to a huge office to residential plan just submitted to convert a block into over 300 flats near Hanger Lane, which was covered here.
Expect many more of these in future. It cumulatively adds up to a fair bit more pressure, yet under government planning changes no money must be paid by developers under “permitted development rights” to cater for these changes.
