Changes to buses in Ealing borough confirmed including big route 427 cut

Transport for London today announced the result of consultation into sweeping changes to bus services across West London as the Elizabeth Line arrives.

In Ealing itself, plans to extend route 112 between Ealing Broadway and Osterley Tesco have been scrapped.

Route 427 is to be cut along the Uxbridge Road between Southall and Acton via Ealing. This is despite Ealing Council arguing that cutting back the 8 buses an hour that currently run between the two areas is a mistake due to population growth of 3,500 people a year.

The cut is also occurring despite more people rejecting it than approving in the consultation

Frequency on the remaining section between Southall and Uxbridge will be reduced from every 10 minutes to every 12.

Route E10 between Ealing, Greenford and Northolt will see longer 60 seat buses.

E3 frequency reduces from every 8 minutes to every 10 minutes.

They will also not be going ahead with the frequency reduction on route E1 though the frequency increase on route 120 is also halted.

I use the 427 to travel from Hanwell where I live to hillingdon where I work, by cutting this part of the route will mean a longer journey with more buses and waiting times for them buses, which are packed anyway, yet again the public have to suffer to try and save money
