Hanwell pub The Viaduct to be refurbished

Plans have been submitted to Ealing Council to refurbish Hanwell’s beautiful pub The Viaduct on Uxbridge Road.

Recent public realm work outside removed street clutter which allows the building to shine.

The pub is operated by Fullers and plans see: “Reconfiguration and refurbishment of an existing bar area at the ground floor and function room at first floor level, formation of canopy between rear garden area and function room; extension of existing canopy to the side elevation; formation a new bar area within existing garage/store area; and associated internal and external alterations including boundary wall treatment”.

Character and charm

Images are thin on the ground. Fullers have been refurbishing many pubs and in some instances removing character for a bland 21st century look. Hopefully this won’t happen here.

The planning reference is 183266FUL
