Acton College to be rebuilt with 116 new homes and new school?

Plans have been submitted to demolish the existing Acton and West London College buildings on Gunnersbury Lane and Mill Hill Road, and build a replacement with 116 flats constructed above.

A new secondary school would also be located on site.

The planning reference for this project is 182124SCE

The Environmental Impact Assessment foresees “construction of part three, part six, part seven, part eight, part eleven, part twelve and part thirteen-storey development”

The 113 units would comprise 57 x 1 bed, 54 x 2 bed and 2 x 3 bed flats alongside three homes.

Developers are submitting the full application any day now and this site will cover plans more extensively when they are publicly available.

I guess it depends how tightly packed the site will be. The current college building is pretty ugly, and the site is close to the south acton estate where there are other highish buildings.
