An inquiry into the controversial “Arcadia” development at 9-42 The Broadway has been cancelled according to Save Ealing Centre. Here’s their tweet:

The inquiry was due to begin today. This appears a victory for local campaigners who have fought long and hard against the demolition of a large number of Victorian buildings in the centre of Ealing. It’s believed that land owners Benson Elliot recently sold to British Land.
Whether this is a short term stay of execution remains to be seen. British Land have some large scale developments in planning at the moment. There’s currently a consultation into plans at Rotherhithe and Canada Water with a number of towers planned there.
